Well, As things currently stand, it looks like I'm doing the blog solo. My partner - Melissa, really hasn't gotten comfortable with her weight loss and talking about it. It's not easy for me to say I weighed ~455 lbs, but I thought for the blog to have any real 'help' value, full disclosure is the best way to go. I respect Melissa and her privacy, so I suspect you won't see many posts from her in the short term, maybe ever. As for myself, I'm wrapping up 10 weeks on the program. It was very motivating for me to know that I weigh 395 pounds as of one week ago. I'm not big on weighing in though, so my goal is to weigh on 3/1/10. Yes, that's a ways off. My goal? To be under 300 pounds that day. That'd mean I'd have lost 155 pounds at that point. Wow, that'd be somethin' -for sure. After today, I'll have finished nine weeks on the program and it will be six weeks since I had my 'indulgence weekend'. You may recollect, I mentioned that eight weeks ago, I was on a freight scale that said 447 pounds. With my clothes on - so I figured I was perhaps 443 pounds. Accounting for the fact that I was one week into the program (where often significant weight loss occurs), I put my starting weight at ~455 pounds. Today I weighed ... 395 pounds! Yeah, baby! I know that's a big number, but that means in nine weeks (actually one day short of nine weeks) I lost 60 pounds. That's 1 1/2 bags of dog food! That's an average of 6 3/4 pounds per week. Considering I did have that 1 1/2 days of naughtiness six weeks back, that's not a bad average. For the most part, I don't get too hungry, and it's nice to finally confirm some weight loss results. It's still a very long journey, but progress has been made. | ||
